Many children with congenitak heart disease (CHD) now survive to adulthood. But still a large proportion of patiens are those with relevant systemic-to-pulmonary shunt, if left untreated will develop pulmonaty arteral hypertension (PAH). Approximately 5%-10% of them develop pulmonary areterial hypertension of variable svereity that affects quality of life, morbidity and mortality.
